Compatible with any LLM that supports MCP

LLMs predict. They don't compute. That difference becomes critical when accurate computation is required. Whether you're working on an engineering problem or mathematical research, small errors can lead to poor decisions, questionable results, and spiraling AI costs.

Failed Logic
Errors in symbolic reasoning, calculus, equation solving, and other mathematical tasks can be difficult to detect without expert review.
High Token Cost
Math-heavy prompts can consume far more LLM tokens than necessary.
No Deterministic Output
Probabilistic language models cannot guarantee a correct mathematical result.
Hard to Verify
It can be difficult to see exactly how an LLM arrived at a mathematical result or reproduce the calculation independently.
How Maple MCP Works

Maple MCP is a plugin that connects your AI tool to the Maple Math Engine using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for connecting AI tools to external systems. When your AI encounters a calculation, it can call on Maple, one of the world's most advanced symbolic and numeric computation systems.

Built on more than 40 years of mathematical research and 9,000+ algorithms, Maple handles the computation your AI tool was never designed to perform and returns precise, deterministic results as part of the AI's response. You can also see the mathematical operation or command sent to Maple, making the computation easier to inspect and reproduce.

Step 1 - You prompt your AI tool
Ask your AI a question involving mathematics, physics, engineering calculations, or another quantitative problem
Step 2 - Your AI tool calls on Maple
When computation is needed, your AI tool sends the mathematical operation to the Maple Math Engine.
Step 3 - Maple returns a precise result
Maple performs the calculation using its library of 9,000+ algorithms and returns a precise symbolic or numeric result for your AI to incorporate into its response.
Step 4 - You can inspect the computation
See the operation or command sent to Maple and reproduce it when needed.

FAQ's
Maple MCP is a plugin for AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Cohere, and Perplexity that connects them to the Maple Math Engine. It uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard, to give these tools access to Maple's symbolic and numeric computation capabilities, so mathematical results can be computed by Maple instead of relying on the language model alone.
Maple MCP is available to Maple users with an active Maplesoft Elite Maintenance Program membership. You’ll find everything you need to get started in the My Maple menu inside Maple.
If you use Maple and have an active Elite Maintenance Program membership, you can access Maple MCP through the My Maple menu. Maple MCP is also available as a standalone deployment for organizations that want to connect the Maple Math Engine directly to their AI environment.
Maple MCP can significantly reduce token usage for math-heavy queries by delegating computation to Maple instead of asking the LLM to reason through every mathematical step itself. Maple returns the computed result for the AI to incorporate into its response.
Maple MCP works with MCP-compatible AI tools, including ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Cohere, Perplexity, and supported private or on-premises environments.
Maple MCP gives your AI access to Maple's 9,000+ algorithms, covering algebra, calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, statistics, transforms, number theory, combinatorics, and much more — from undergraduate mathematics to advanced research applications.
Maple is a dedicated symbolic and numeric mathematics system with more than 9,000 algorithms covering a broad range of mathematical domains. Maple MCP gives AI tools direct access to that capability without requiring users to build their own mathematical integration layer.
Yes. You can see the mathematical operation or command sent to Maple, giving you greater visibility into what was computed and making it easier to reproduce the calculation when needed.
Yes. Book a demo and our team can show you how Maple MCP works with an AI tool and how Maple handles the mathematical computation.
