Maple T.A. Server Platforms and Requirements To run Maple T.A. 4.0, you require Java 6, Tomcat 5.5, and PostgreSQL 8.1. To run as a server you must have a fixed domain name and full-time connection to the Internet. 1 MB/sec or better connection is required. Client Platforms and Requirements • All clients require a Java-enabled browser • Javascript™ and cookies must be enabled • Instructors require Java JRE 1.5.0 or later • Students require Java JRE 1.4.2 or later Internet Access You must have access to 56K Modem Dial-up Connection. Broadband - Cable Modem or DSL - Internet connection is recommended for optimal performance. * The MathML question editor, first introduced in Maple T.A. 3.0, is not available on Safari. In order to use this editor on a Macintosh, we recommend that instructors use Firefox when authoring questions. On Safari you can only access the authoring environment from 2.51.
