Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

What scores should I expect?

The scores for any student group will be determined by the backgrounds of the candidates. During their development, the MAA tests were administered to typical groups of candidates and the levels of difficulty of the tests were adjusted to have mean scores of 50%. Good test design suggests an expected mean score of 50% provides the most effective measurements at both ends of the spectrum of scores.
