Single User Installation

Windows Installation

To install Precalculus Study Guide on your Windows operating system, read and complete the following tasks

Pre-Installation Instructions

  1. Log on as administrator or ensure that you have administrator privileges.
  1. Ensure that you are connected to the Internet. If your computer does not have an Internet connection, please contact your distributor or Maplesoft customer service.
  1. Close all programs, particularly any previous release of Maple.

Install Precalculus Study Guide

  1. Ensure that you have reviewed the Pre-Installation Instructions.
  1. Choose one of the following options:
  1. Place the install disc in the DVD-ROM drive. Locate and double-click PrecalculusStudyGuide_Windows.exe.
  1. Double-click PrecalculusStudyGuide_Windows.exe from where you downloaded the file.
  1. Follow the on-screen instructions. By default, Precalculus Study Guide will install to C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\My Documents\Precalculus Study Guide (Windows XP) or C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Precalculus Study Guide (Windows Vista and Windows 7), where %USERNAME% is the name of the user running the installer..

Macintosh Installation

To install Precalculus Study Guide on your Macintosh operating system, read and complete the following tasks:

  1. Follow the on-screen instructions. By default, Precalculus Study Guide will install to $HOME/Precalculus Study Guide, where $HOME is your home directory.

Getting Started With Precalculus Study Guide

Getting Started

The Precalculus Study Guide is a collection of Maple worksheets, grouped by topic and organized by chapter.

To get started with this study guide, open the file named Contents-PrecalculusStudyGuide.mw in Maple. This opens the Table of Contents. Follow the hyperlinks to each of the chapters.

Tutors can be launched from hyperlinks inside the chapters, or directly from the Table of Contents. Instructions on using the tutors are found in the relevant chapters.

Viewing Tips

This content is best viewed with the Maple application window expanded to its maximum size.

To increase the horizontal space available to these worksheets, collapse the palette docks. From the View menu, select Palettes and then Collapse Docks.

Palettes are not required for this study guide.

Note

  • This product can be used only in the Standard Worksheet interface.
