Single User Installation

Windows Installation

To install the Calculus Study Guide on your Windows operating system, read and complete the following tasks

Pre-Installation Instructions

  1. Log on as administrator or ensure that you have administrator privileges.
  1. Ensure that you are connected to the Internet. If your computer does not have an Internet connection, please contact your distributor or Maplesoft customer service.
  1. Close all programs, particularly any previous release of Maple.

Install Calculus Study Guide

  1. Ensure that you have reviewed the Pre-Installation Instructions.
  1. Choose one of the following options:
  1. Place the install disc in the disc drive. Locate and double-click CalculusStudyGuide_Windows.exe.
  1. Double-click CalculusStudyGuide_Windows.exe from where you downloaded the file.
  1. Follow the on-screen instructions. By default, Calculus Study Guide will install to C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\My Documents\Calculus Study Guide (Windows XP) or C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Calculus Study Guide (Windows Vista and Windows 7), where %USERNAME% is the name of the user running the installer.

Macintosh Installation

For Macintosh® Intel 32- and 64-bit installation instructions, read this section.

To install Calculus Study Guide on your Macintosh operating system, read and complete the following tasks:

Pre-Installation Instructions

  1. Log on as administrator or ensure that you have administrator privileges.
  1. Ensure that you are connected to the Internet. If your computer does not have an Internet connection, please contact your distributor or Maplesoft customer service.
  1. Close all programs, particularly any previous release of Maple.

Install Calculus Study Guide

  1. Ensure that you have reviewed the Pre-Installation Instructions.
  1. Choose one of the following options:
  • Place the install disc in the disc drive. On the desktop, double-click the install disc icon.
  • Double-click CalculusStudyGuide_Mac.dmg from where you downloaded the file. To launch the installer, double-click the CalculusStudyGuide_Mac.app file.
  1. Follow the on-screen instructions. By default, Calculus Study Guide will install to $HOME/Calculus Study Guide, where $HOME is your home directory.

Linux Installation

  1. Log on to the account that will own the Calculus Study Guide files.
  1. Ensure that you are connected to the Internet. If your computer does not have an Internet connection, please contact your distributor or Maplesoft customer service.
  1. Close all programs.

  1. Ensure that you have reviewed the Pre-Installation Instructions
  1. Run CalculusStudyGuide_Linux.bin located on the install disc or run CalculusStudyGuide_Linux.bin from where you downloaded the file.
  1. Follow the on-screen instructions. By default, Calculus Study Guide will install to $HOME/CalculusStudyGuide, where $HOME is your home directory.

Getting Started With Calculus Study Guide

Getting Started

The Calculus Study Guide is a collection of Maple worksheets, grouped by topic and organized by chapter.

To get started with this study guide, open the file named Contents.mw in Maple. This opens the Table of Contents. Follow the hyperlinks to each of the chapters.

  • This product can be used only in the Standard Worksheet interface.
