This application demonstrates how you can compute the properties for a Butterworth filter, given a 3-pole Sallen-Key circuit.
First, the filter transfer function is derived from the nodal voltage equations. This results in a set of four equations which are numerically solved for the circuit resisances. The AC gain can be tuned for the required response.
