Plane Area by Calculus, Green's Theorem, and Monte Carlo Integration

An irregular plane area is computed by basic calculus, by Green's theorem, and by Monte Carlo integration. The calculations were sparked by the question "Can Maple obtain an irregular plane area by Monte Carlo integration?" Unfortunately, the answer is "no" but the questioner preceeded to provide code that did just that. Meanwhile, posts to MaplePrimes about the use of Green's theorem were resurrected and explored. But what about just ordinary calculus of a single variable? Turns out that for the particular plane region considered, this method was no harder than either of the other two methods considered. This video discusses all three approaches.
