GUI Improvements in Maple 6

A number of new features have been added and improvements have been made to Maple 6. Below is a brief description of each.

Find and Replace
|
|
|
Within the active worksheet, find and replace one occurrence, or all occurrences, of the text or input you specify. For more information, see Find.
|
|
|
Spreadsheets
|
|
|
Each spreadsheet is given a unique default name upon creation. Change the name to customize it. For more information, see Change Spreadsheet Name.
|
|
Access and manipulate spreadsheets and spreadsheet data from the Maple command line. This allows programs and functions to create and manipulate Maple spreadsheets in a Maple 6 worksheet. For more information, see The Spread Package.

|
User Profiles
|
|
|
Multiple user profiles are available for all platforms. If multiple user profiles are enabled, users can store data in their own directories and maintain their own settings. For more information, see the Installation Guide or the Readme file.

|
Hyperlink Editor
|
|
|
Use the Hyperlink Editor to simultaneously edit the pathname for all the hyperlinks, or a subset of the hyperlinks, in a worksheet. For more information, see Edit Hyperlink Pathnames.

|
Export as RTF
|
|
|
Export Maple worksheets to Rich Text Format (RTF) so that they can be used in Microsoft(R) Word 2000 for all Windows operating systems that support Word 2000. For more information, see Export as Rich Text Format (RTF).

|
Changes in the Display
|
|

|
Hide or display spreadsheets, Maple input, Maple output, and graphics. For more information, see Hide Content.

Maple provides palettes in two sizes. The larger size is 1.5 times bigger than the original palettes. For more information, see Resize Palettes.

Display the Maple command for a Matrix that is not larger than 4 rows by 4 columns, by using the Matrix Palette. For more information, see Use the Matrix Palette.

|
Arrays, Matrices, and Vectors
|
|
|
Very large Arrays, Matrices, and Vectors can now be viewed and edited. For more information, see Structured Data Browser.
