Overview of Computation in NumericalAnalysis
See Student[NumericalAnalysis] for a general introduction to the NumericalAnalysis subpackage of the Student package.
The computation commands can be used to study the concepts and computations of numerical analysis.
The computation commands focus on specific fields of numerical analysis such as: numerical linear algebra and interpolation.
The computation commands that deal with interpolation are:
AddPoint
ApproximateExactUpperBound
ApproximateValue
BasisFunctions
CubicSpline
DataPoints
DividedDifferenceTable
ExactValue
Function
Interpolant
InterpolantRemainderTerm
LinearSystem
NevilleTable
PolynomialInterpolation
RemainderTerm
UpperBoundOfRemainderTerm
There are also visualization commands in the Student[NumericalAnalysis] subpackage that focus on interpolation. See Visualization Overview for more details.
The computation commands that deal with numerical linear algebra are:
BackSubstitution
Distance
ForwardSubstitution
IsConvergent
IsMatrixShape
IterativeFormula
LeadingPrincipalSubmatrix
LinearSolve
MatrixConvergence
MatrixDecomposition
SpectralRadius
VectorLimit
There are also visualization and interactive commands in the Student[NumericalAnalysis] subpackage that focus on numerical linear algebra. See Visualization Overview and Interactive Overview for more details.
The remaining general computation commands are:
AbsoluteError
NumberOfSignificantDigits
RateOfConvergence
RelativeError
TaylorPolynomial
